Pompei is an abstract composition combining diverse elements to create a complex and multi-layered work. The background is neutral shades of gray and beige, with subtle tonal transitions, which are dynamized by numerous, more or less ambiguous motifs, creating a truly compelling whole. The multitude of details gives Pompei a mysterious quality and leaves much room for interpretation. The multi-layered pattern, combined with eye-catching details that invite closer inspection, makes Pompei an interesting decorative element in modern interiors, adding an artistic touch. The neutral color scheme, in turn, makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of arrangements.
The author of the pattern is Małgorzata Wójcik. A native of Wrocław, she graduated from the Faculty of Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts. She worked in stained glass and furniture restoration. In recent years, she has been fully dedicated to painting, which remains a constant journey and exploration for her. The main themes in her works are the changeability of nature, the dynamism of the city, and feminine emotionality. She presents all these themes in an unconventional, imaginative way.
