“Mall Black & White” is an architectural illustration depicting the famous Wertheim department store, now known as Renoma—one of the most recognizable icons of Wrocław’s modernist architecture. The plans for the monumental department store were drawn up by the Berlin-based Wertheim company before World War I, but the project was not completed until 1930. In 2009, the building was expanded with a new section whose distinctive horizontal divisions of the façade reference the historic structure and continue the original concept of architect Hermann Dernburg, creating a harmonious whole that combines history with contemporary design. The monochromatic interpretation of the pattern emphasizes the geometric rhythm of the façade, its expressive lines, and the timeless character of modernist architecture, giving the composition elegance and graphic clarity.
Colour scheme
The palette is based on contrasting shades of black, graphite, and white, complemented by subtle tones of grey. The limited colour scheme gives the pattern a more minimalist, timeless character, highlighting the architectural details and dynamic divisions of the façade. The wallpaper pairs perfectly with architectural concrete, natural stone, cool-toned wood, steel, glass, and accents in black, chrome, and brushed aluminium.

For light patterns printed on EXTREME material, we recommend ordering a sample—the laminate may subtly alter the shade of light colors (white, gray, beige, light blue).
