Pattern designer
The “Town Hall B&W” wallpaper depicts one of Wrocław’s most distinctive landmarks – the magnificent Wrocław Town Hall, known as the pearl of Lower Silesian Gothic architecture. The monumental building is presented in a style reminiscent of a precise pencil sketch, combining an abundance of architectural detail with a light, graphic form.
The history of the Town Hall is just as remarkable as its architecture. It was built over approximately 250 years, during which time it was continuously expanded, embellished, and refined. The oldest part of the building was completed as early as 1299, while subsequent stages of expansion left behind an impressive wealth of Gothic details, ornaments, and decorations.
The “Town Hall B&W” design depicts the eastern façade of the Town Hall, one of the building’s most striking sections. This is where the famous clock is located. One of its hands shows the hours, while the other indicates the phases of the Moon. Around the golden clock face are also unusual symbols representing the seasons: winter is marked by a letter resembling a “T” with two legs, summer by an elegant “U”, spring by an “O” with a tail, while autumn is symbolized by an inverted “W”.
The monochromatic treatment gives the historic architecture the character of a large-format illustration. Soaring turrets, sharp rooflines, tracery, and a richly decorated façade create a design that can become the focal point of an entire interior.

The composition is presented in shades of grey – from light, silvery tones through soft greys to graphite and black. The monochromatic palette highlights the design’s hand-drawn character and allows the remarkable number of architectural details to stand out.

For light patterns printed on EXTREME material, we recommend ordering a sample—the laminate may subtly alter the shade of light colors (white, gray, beige, light blue).
