Most of us would like, to a greater or lesser extent, to stand out and own things that are unique and uncommon. We understand this need well, which is why the Wall Art Original collection was created—a synergy of classic works of art and the artistic expression of our graphic design team.
Repetition or spectacular impact?
Repeat wallpaper designs, in which each roll replicates the previous one, are widely available in every home improvement store. If conventional solutions do not meet your needs and you dream of a large-format mural, we have nearly several hundred designs to choose from.
However, these are not classic reproductions transferred literally to a wall-sized format. Even when drawing on the work of renowned artists, we strive to breathe new life into it and adapt it to the current needs of interior design. This process involves carefully selecting cohesive works of art, combining them into a unified whole, and adding contemporary elements.
Although some designs do not directly reference classic works, they are the result of careful observation of global design trends. We draw inspiration not only from the direction in which the interior design market is developing, but also from architecture and fashion. Like the artists we collaborate with, our graphic design team absorbs the world around it—especially perfect works, namely creations of nature—and, filtering them through the lens of aesthetics, art, and fashion, creates original Wall Art wallpaper designs. The effects of an artistic fusion of several works
The “Cherished” design combines classic botanical engravings by Pierre-Joseph Redouté with a timeless, delicate ornament and the enduringly fashionable shades of gray and concrete.
“Peacock,” in turn, is a harmonious combination of peacock images from paintings by Ohara Koson and Piter Pietersz Barbiers. Placing the birds against an intense background imitating peacock feathers creates a very elegant and impressive effect.
“Hanami” is a compilation of five works by the following artists: Kōno Bairei, Ohara Koson, and William Sharp. The combination of Asian aesthetics, classic cherry blossom and koi fish motifs, and elements of aquatic flora creates a unique, soothing effect that evokes not only a journey to the Orient, but also relaxation by the lake.
The bestselling “Tsuru” pattern series also deserves a mention. These much-loved cranes are reproduced from a Japanese kimono dating back to the early 20th century. The birds set against ultra-elegant bottle green, royal navy, romantic pink, or delicate pistachio clouds create an amazing effect and, depending on the selected color palette, will suit any room.
The very popular “Harmony” pattern is also an interpretation of a work by Jan van Huyum. Modifying the colors and arrangement of the flowers brought the master’s tranquil floral composition to life and expanded its scale, transforming a bouquet into a true flower garden in our interior.
