Pattern designer
The “Umi” wallpaper presents a stylized, graphic interpretation of the underwater world, with fish depicted in motion taking center stage. Slender, precisely drawn silhouettes contrast with soft, flowing lines reminiscent of currents and the movement of water. A central circle clearly organizes the composition and draws the eye, giving the whole design an almost illustrative character inspired by Japanese graphics. The pattern is restrained in its use of color, yet highly decorative thanks to its linework, rhythm, and unusual composition.
Color palette
The composition is kept in a monochromatic palette of gray, black, and off-white. Subtle transitions between light, silvery, and slightly darker shades of gray create a sense of depth, while the black outlines of the fish and flowing lines give the design definition. The neutral color palette allows the wallpaper to be paired with both light wood and natural materials, as well as black, metal, or bolder color accents.

For light patterns printed on EXTREME material, we recommend ordering a sample—the laminate may subtly alter the shade of light colors (white, gray, beige, light blue).
