Colour differences

A screen cannot convey the texture. A visualization will not show the actual color.

Why can colors differ?

Color is one of the key elements in interior design. It has a significant impact on the atmosphere of a space and how it is perceived visually, so we fully understand that our customers expect a perfect result. However, it is worth remembering that subtle color differences between individual wallpaper installations are completely natural and result from technological processes and the properties of the materials.

Ordering custom-made wallpaper is a significant decision—which is why we give you the option to order a sample.
We will provide a fragment of the design printed on the same material, with the same color depth, texture, and quality. This allows you to check whether it suits the light in the room, the furniture, and the interior style.
No risk. No rush. No surprises.

What causes color differences?

The wallpaper production process is a technologically advanced stage influenced by many factors. Even when the highest standards are maintained, color differences may occur for several reasons:

  • Printing technology – each wallpaper batch is produced using a digital printing process, and slight differences in machine settings or ink consumption may affect the final result.

  • Base material – wallpapers are available in various textures and weights, which reflect light differently. Concrete, canvas, or handmade paper textures may cause the color to appear subtly different.

  • Light reflection – a smooth surface reflects light differently from a matte or embossed one, which may cause differences in color saturation and temperature.

When are the differences most noticeable?

From experience, we know that the most noticeable color variations occur with subtle, neutral tones. Differences may be especially visible in:

  • beige and gray shades,
  • powder pinks,
  • navy blues and graphite tones.

These colors are particularly sensitive to the type of light and the surface texture, so they may look slightly different depending on the conditions.

Light and surroundings matter

The environment in which the wallpaper is placed also has a significant impact on how its color is perceived:

  • Light color – warm lighting can give gray a greenish tone, while cool lighting can create a cool, bluish shade.
  • Colors in the room – the colors of furniture, floors, or adjacent walls can reflect light and subtly alter color perception.

How can you achieve the best result?

To ensure the wallpaper color meets your expectations, it is worth following a few simple tips:

  • Order a wallpaper sample – especially if you want a specific shade or need it to match an existing interior.
  • Check the color in its intended setting – view the sample in different lighting conditions (natural and artificial) to see how its appearance changes.
  • Remember natural variations – even within the same collection, slight color variations are normal and reflect the product’s unique character.
