Pompei is an abstract composition that combines a variety of elements to create a complex, multilayered work of art. The background is rendered in neutral shades of gray and beige, with subtle tonal transitions animated by numerous more or less ambiguous motifs, forming a highly intriguing whole. The abundance of details makes Pompei mysterious and leaves plenty of room for interpretation. The pattern’s layered character, together with details that attract the eye and invite closer inspection, means that Pompei, thanks to its diversity, can be an interesting decorative element in modern interiors, adding an artistic dimension. At the same time, its neutral color palette makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of arrangements.
The design was created by Małgorzata Wójcik, a native of Wrocław and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, where she studied in the Glass Department. She worked with stained glass and furniture restoration. In recent years, she has devoted herself entirely to painting, which for her is a continuous journey of exploration and discovery. The main themes in her work are the changing nature of the world, the dynamism of the city, and feminine emotionality. She presents all these motifs in an unconventional way that stimulates the imagination.
