“Barca” is an impressionistic painted landscape depicting a tranquil expanse of water with small fishing boats drifting across it, while monumental, mist-shrouded mountain ranges emerge in the background. The artwork captures the feeling of a stark northern morning—as if a moment of silence just before dawn or immediately after dusk had been preserved. The composition is rich in texture: from rough, almost tactile brushstrokes and subtle tonal transitions to reflections on the water that create the effect of delicate light glimmering across its surface. The boats are shown in half-shadow, like silhouettes anchored in space, giving the design a meditative character.
