Aida is a contemporary portrait of a woman created in an abstract expressionist style. The central focus is a realistic female face surrounded by dynamic, irregular brushstrokes and splashes of paint that form a fantastical figure. Abstract lines and shapes appear to surround and pass through the face, creating a sense of movement and energy. The entire design is rendered in a monochromatic palette, dominated by black, white, and shades of gray. This restrained color scheme emphasizes the mystery and ambiguity of the woman’s painted face. With its contemporary and expressive style, Aida is perfect for modern interiors, where it can serve as a striking decorative focal point or be incorporated into a variety of arrangements and styles.
The design was created by Małgorzata Wójcik, a native of Wrocław and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, where she studied in the Glass Department. She worked with stained glass and furniture restoration. In recent years, she has devoted herself entirely to painting, which for her is an ongoing journey of exploration. The main themes in her work are the changing nature of the world, the dynamism of the city, and feminine emotionality. She presents all these motifs in unconventional ways that stir the imagination.
