“Nux” is an abstract composition with a distinctly painterly, almost raw character. The design consists of horizontal bands and rectangular planes with varied textures—from soft, almost chalky abrasions to dense, dark layers resembling patinated metal or earthy clay. The whole piece evokes the structural paintings of contemporary artists who combine painting with material, blurring the boundaries between canvas and space. “Nux” balances gesture and control, chance and composition, creating a backdrop that does not dominate but builds a deep, tranquil atmosphere within the interior. It is a design that does not impose an interpretation; rather, it leaves room for reflection and an emotional response.
Color palette
The palette is inspired by nature, dominated by deep browns, earthy beiges, warm ochre tones, and grays with cool, almost concrete-like highlights. Muted tones are enlivened in places with a rusty note and white reminiscent of chalky abrasions.
