Maciej Szupica Collection
Maciek Szupica, born on December 8, 1975, in Białystok, is a multidisciplinary artist – painter, director, graphic designer, photographer, and video artist. His art combines transformative realism with abstraction, creating melancholic, distorted representations that compel viewers to reflect more deeply on reality. His work is characterized by an unconventional narrative, a subversive approach, and a creative freedom.
He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he earned a PhD in Fine Arts in 2015. For years, he lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, and the University of Gdańsk, sharing his experience and knowledge with young artists.
In addition to painting, he is involved in directing and visual arts. He co-founded and directed the Interference Festival, dedicated to visual communication. He has created dozens of music videos, animations, campaigns, and multimedia projects, and through Interference Visual Crew, has been responsible for the visuals of major festivals in Poland. He has also participated in music and multimedia projects such as Dick4Dick, Cavalleris, Gypsy Pill, and The Saintbox.
