Pompei is an abstract composition that combines diverse elements to create a complex and multilayered work. The background of the painting is maintained in neutral shades of grey and beige, with subtle tonal transitions, to which numerous, more or less ambiguous motifs add dynamism, creating a very interesting whole. The abundance of details makes Pompei mysterious and leaves ample room for interpretation. The multi-layered nature of the pattern, combined with eye-catching details that encourage closer inspection, means that Pompei, thanks to its diversity, can be an interesting decorative element in modern interiors, adding an artistic expression to them. In turn, the neutral colour scheme makes it easy to incorporate into various arrangements.
The author of the design is Małgorzata Wójcik, a native of Wrocław. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in the Department of Glass, she worked with stained glass and furniture restoration. In recent years, she has fully devoted herself to painting, which for her is a continuous journey and search. The main themes in her works are the variability of nature, the dynamism of the city, and feminine emotionality. She presents all these motifs in a non-obvious way that stirs the imagination.
