The EXTREME material on which we print our exclusive self-adhesive wallpapers is 440 g/m2 laminated vinyl. We apply any design from our collection (or your own design) to the vinyl layer and then laminate it. The outer protective layer makes the finished product extremely resistant to water, mechanical damage, and washing. 

You can scrub the surface of the self-adhesive wallpaper with the rough side of a sponge, using the strongest detergents available on the market. If nail polish or marker somehow gets onto the covered surface, you can remove the stain with acetone without damaging the print in any way. EXTREME material also withstands water, steam, and greasy stains. It has non-flammability (M1) and flame-retardancy (B1) certificates. 

Where can I install self-adhesive wallpaper? In the kitchen and beyond!

EXTREME material has a very wide range of applications. The only rules we need to follow are to install it on a surface that is smooth, degreased, and dust-free. Has the color of your cabinet fronts gone out of fashion, or have you simply stopped liking it? No problem—we will not only adapt the wallpaper to the dimensions of your furniture, but also adjust the design to your needs. Please note that no self-adhesive wallpaper, nor “standard” non-woven wallpaper, will be sent to print without prior approval of the crop.

Is installing self-adhesive wallpaper difficult?

If you associate self-adhesive materials with thin film, air bubbles, surgical precision, and no possibility of making even the slightest mistake, EXTREME self-adhesive wallpaper is the absolute opposite of this description. What are its main advantages?

First, the material is thick, so it will not stretch or become damaged during installation. The adhesive surface consists of two types of adhesive distributed across the back of the wallpaper in numerous small, symmetrically arranged dots. Each dot has a very gentle adhesive on its surface, while its center contains a strong-bonding adhesive that activates 24 hours after the wallpaper has been pressed onto the surface. 

Thanks to this solution, if you make a mistake, you can lift the wallpaper several times and reapply it without damaging it. The non-adhesive surface between the adhesive dots allows air to flow freely and prevents air bubbles from forming—or makes them easy to remove with a squeegee.

Self-adhesive wall wallpaper—two-component adhesive in dots

Self-adhesive materials, also known as films, evoke strong opinions. When dealing with moderately sized stickers, we appreciate their self-adhesive properties and, consequently, their ease of application. Everything becomes more complicated as the covered surface increases. Anyone who has tried it knows that, with most films, the rule for bomb disposal experts applies: you only get one chance. Attempts to lift material that has already bonded to the substrate are doomed to fail and, in the worst case, result in damage to the film. Air bubbles can create further difficulties and can often be removed only with a needle, by gently puncturing the film and releasing the air through the resulting hole. 

With EXTREME wallpaper, we have solved both of these problems. The adhesive used is two-component and distributed in the form of symmetrical dots. What does this solution offer? 

Thanks to the use of dotted adhesive with low initial adhesion, this modern wallpaper is extremely easy to apply. It allows you to lift the wallpaper repeatedly and reposition it on the substrate. This makes it possible to apply the wallpaper without air bubbles or creases, all without damaging the wallpaper itself. After 24 hours of application and pressing onto the substrate, the adhesive enclosed in microcapsules is released, and the actual process—adhesion, or bonding the wallpaper to the substrate—takes place. 

The vinyl used for EXTREME material is fully opaque, allowing us to apply the wallpaper to dark surfaces, as well as over existing wallpaper, with the confidence that nothing will show through the new design. 

Durable designer wallpaper for the kitchen and bathroom 

Now that you know why we describe EXTREME material as suitable for special tasks, it is time to consider how to use its exceptional properties in your home. The two rooms where conditions are somewhat more demanding are the kitchen and bathroom.

Can EXTREME be applied to any surface?

EXTREME self-adhesive vinyl is a solution for any smooth, dust-free surface, which must also be degreased before application. Although this material has many different applications, as the name itself suggests, it is primarily wallpaper and is suitable for installation on walls. For this type of installation, remember to prime the wall with a deep-penetrating primer, or, if applying the wallpaper to a previously painted surface, to abrade and dust off the painted layer.
When installing on ceramic tiles with traditional, deep grout lines, we recommend leveling the grout with filler for a better visual effect and, as with a standard wall, priming the filled surface.
